27 Years Young

Wow, I can't believe I am turning twenty-seven. I don't know how your supposed to feel when you are twenty-seven but I still feel very young. 30 seems pretty far away at this point but if my thirties are anything like my twenties.. Bring em' on!This has been such an incredible birthday week thanks to my amazing family and friends. We have had a very special week full of wonderful happenings and news. First of all, we found out that we are moving to a house....FINALLY! Anyone who has ever lived in an apartment/town home for any length of time can sympathize. We need a yard, BAD. We are moving in three weeks to a precious little house with a backyard and even a playroom for Lil. We are gaining a bedroom and living area but are but losing a bathroom...updates to come on that later. I will also post pics of our new place upon arrival. We can't wait! Did I mention we are excited. We have already started packing. I had many birthday celebrations this week including; jumping up and down and dancing around my kitchen when we found out we got the house, dinner with my girlfriends, many calls and cards to wish me a happy b-day from my fam. Breakfast with my loving hubby and precious little girl and the sweetest "Happy Birthday" my ears have ever heard from my Lil. I also wanted to take family pictures for my b-day. One of our friends up and coming photographer Miss Hailey took them for us. She did a great job and these are a few of our faves.

Halloween Fun!

Our cute scarecrow getting ready for her first "trick or treat"

Stopping just long enough to get a picture with daddy

Lily had a great time on her first "trick or treating" experience. She loved her scarecrow costume that was so lovingly crafted by one of my friends at work..she did a wonderful job. We had a nice time eating yummy food with friends and walking around their neighborhood to trick or treat a few houses. I think she enjoyed the walking around part more than the actual getting treats part. She did enjoy some m&ms and a sucker. It's so much fun to watch her face light up with each new adventure!

Scarecrow Costume

This was our little lady this morning in her adorable Scarecrow Costume...notice the mini pumpkin in her hand. She loves to take odd things with her when we leave the house in the mornings. This morning it was the mini pumpkin...at least it coordinates with her outfit. Thats my girl!

Football Game and Family Reunion

This pic is so sweet..

Posing with Andrew at the family reunion (love the hat)

Getting love from my Nena

Eating a cookie with my Uncle T

Watching Uncle T play football he had 7 tackles and one sack!

This past weekend we went out of town to see one of my little bro's football games and attend a family reunion and just spend some quality time with family. It was great. My brother's game was awesome he is quite the football player. I was really proud of him, he plays right tackle and he had 7 tackles and 1 sack during the game. I wish I could have gotten a picture of him in his uniform he looked so grown up. Boys aren't much for posing for pictures, it's really uncool. Lily had the best time watching the game, cheerleader's and Panther mascot. I tried to take her pic with the mascot and she had a major meltdown..guess she wasn't so sure about that costume. The reunion was fun and a lot of my family who hasn't seen Lily since her birthday were there. They all couldn't believe how much she's grown and how much blond hair she has. We also got to visit with Papa Ben and Grandma Jill. Sorry Papa and Grandpa for not getting any new pictures with you.
Lily's favorite word of the moment is NO, and she says it to any and every question. It is kind of funny when you ask her a question like, "Would you like a cookie?" and she calmly says No, and then proceeds to take the cookie and munch away. By the way, she also learned how to lock the bathroom door. We learned that the hard way. She is talking so much and everyday I think she learns at least five new words, one of which is lemur. She is developing into a little person with her own personality and opinions. She is our sunshine. If you noticed the monkey backpack Lily is wearing in the football pictures... yes, it is one of those leashes. Yes, I am one of those people who said, "I would never put a leash on my kids," before I had a kid. Turns out it's the best $12 I ever spent. She can be independent and walk on her own in crowded places but not be able to run away. Works like a charm. To all you mom's out there.. I highly recommend it.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Save the drama for your llama!
Petting the donkey with daddy

Riding the carousel, it was chilly.

Daddy's little treasure

" Daddy, didn't you used to have a goat?"

I loved the fair!
We have been having a ton of Fall fun lately. We are enjoying the cooler temperatures and fun activities that go on this time of year. The Fair was our most recent family outing. Lily enjoyed all of the fun that was to be had. She found the petting zoo to be her favorite part of the fair experience. We expected this because she is already an animal lover. She didn't know quite what to think of all the different animals you could feed but after she got the hang of it she would hold the feed out and feed the animals herself. We also took a ride on the carousel and enjoyed the highlight of my fair experience, Funnel Cake! It was delicious.

A Parade With Friends

I have been a really bad blogger lately, I haven't posted anything since school started. So, I better get back into the swing of things and keep my blog up to date. This past weekend Lily attended her first parade. She loved it! At first she was a little unsure about the whole situation (you can tell by her facial expressions in these pictures) but once the firetrucks and marching bands came her way she was hooked. Lily's friends Tessa and Ava Kate were there too and we got to enjoy the parade together. God has surrounded us with so many wonderful friends.
